Aboriginal Camp close to the former Rose and Crown Hotel (Mawson Road area) and the lagoons of this area. In the 1870s, locals complained about the Camp, and the police drove the occupants away at times, most notably in 1876. In 1875 Aboriginal elder Bill was nursed at the hotel here but died.
