This popular tourism destination opened in 1982 and featured waterslides, pools and adventure-based obstacle courses. However, the drowning death of a five-year-old boy there in 1999 led to an inquest over concerns about safety, and the park closed in 2001 due to declining attendance and off-season vandalism problems. The site later became home to the Jindalee DFO.
