Information

Built 1956-58, the architect was Mr. Meek. This building was constructed, using local, volunteer labour, over a two year period, during the late 1950s. Calamvale was still a bushland, semi-rural outer-Brisbane suburb at this time. This postwar hall fulfills the purpose of an interwar rural progress association hall, such as the one that was built in Runcorn in 1925-26. This Hall is also known as Pinelands Lions Hall.
