Built 1886. This Anglican Church was built to replace the 1868 church that had been destroyed in an 1885 cyclone. Salvaged materials were used for the new, smaller, 1886 building. The 1868 church cemetery was undamaged so remained open. In 1907, the Church was renovated due to Rev.J. Whitehead’s determination. From 1923-27, it was given to the Order of the Witness, a interwar Anglican movement aimed at preaching to disadvantaged communities. A neighbouring farmhouse was bought for a priory. The Church faced demolition by 1938. Rev. E. Cavey renovated the old Church that was re-dedicated in 1939. A hall was added in 1964. Dwindling congregations saw it closed c1996. Saved by the Friends of Tingalpa Cemetery it is the Pioneer Wedding Chapel.
