Information

Customs House was built in 1886-89, Architect: C.H. McLay. It was the headquarters of the Queensland colonial government’s Customs service. It was buit when Brisbane was a major river port, lined with wharves along both embankments. It is now a University of Queensland conference centre and art gallery.
