Information

From pre-Contact times until at least the 1860s, Northside Brisbane’s most important Aboriginal Tournament Ground, where tribes met to hold duels and battles after Bora ceremonies. Since 1972, when Black Panthers marched from Musgrave Park to this site, Roma Street has also been the main forum for Aboriginal political protests and political speeches.
