Information

Federal Deposit Bank was built in 1913, Architect: J.P,O, Cowlishaw. In 1931, the bank wqas forced to cease trading and it eas the only Queensland bank to colapse dur to the Great Depression (1929-39). Its remaining assests were sold to the Brisbane Permanent Bank. This became the Bank of Queensland (B.O.Q.) in 1970.
