This property of 8 acres was taken up by John Muirhead in 1887. Milk for Toowong was supplied from here and mail for Upper Ithaca Creek was distributed from here until 1902. Long term owners were Tom Gordon (1904-1928), John Westerman (1928-1948) and Gerard and Maureen Freer whose Red Seal Chip Factory operated from 1959-2001 in tandem with their Coottha Coottha Charolais Stud.
