Information

On 20 September 1968 Kathleen Atherton was given one dollar for land given to Centenary Estates for the McLeod Country Golf Club, which would be controlled by women’s golfers as a Women’s Golf Club. The initial nine-hole course was completed in 1972. The name honoured Miss Gertrude McLeod who was President of the Queensland Ladies Golf Union for 30 years and President of the Australian Ladies Golf Union for five years
