Information

The Greenslopes Bapitist Church was built as a result of the growing congregation in the area. The 1866 Bulimba Church could not cope with the rise in numbers. A nearer site was needed. Despite the Great Depression (1929-39), funds were raised; and work provided to enable this Spanish Mission-style church, with its matching fence, to open in 1933. Its masonary and terracotta tiled roof gave it an attarctive, visual appearance in the suburb. The Hall was added to the site, post-war, in 1951. Both continue to serve this community’s Baptists.
