Information

The Greenslopes Repatriation Hospital opened in February 1942 as the 112th Australian General Military Hospital. It was renamed as the repatriation hospital in April 1947. The facility became a university teaching hospital in 1970. When the hospital was privatised in the 1980s, the site became Australia’s first private hospital accredited as a university teaching hospital.
