Information

Thomas Hamilton, son of Andrew and Margaret Hamilton, continued Andrew Hamilton’s Joiner and Wheelwright business when his father died in 1898. Thomas Hamilton changed the business from wooden vehicles to fitting bodies on imported chassis of trucks and lorries. The family business was sold on 13 May 1913 and the present name is Hamilton Motor Body Works.
