Information

Built 1930, the architect was Chambers and Ford. Reputedly once an Aboriginal Bora Ground, the land’s spiritual purpose was contined by various Anglican churches built here since the 1870s. Fundraising began for a new church, prior to the Great Depression (1929-39) and the Holy Trinity Church of England was blessed by Brisbane Archbishop George Sharp in 1930. An earlier church hall was left in the grounds, where a manse was added. Renamed the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, this Spanish Mission style building with its tower and bronze cupola is a local landmark.
