Previously meeting in scattered locations, by the late 1920s, there was a large enough Seventh-day Adventist congregation, within the Balmoral District, to warrant condideration for a central meeting place. The congregation aquired a site along Wynnum Road, one of the area’s other major thoroughfares. This gave the Church a visible presence for holidaymakers travelling to the Wynnum/Manly seaside. This large two-storey church contained a Sabbath school, as well as a recreational hall. In 1958, a single -storey classroom was joined to this church. It was the last protestant church to be built in the district during the inter-war period.
