Information

Invicta House was built in 1922-23, Architects: Atkinson & Conrad. It was built for wool merchants Hooper & Harrison Ltd. In 1961, it was bought by the Australian Labor Party (A.L.P.) The A.L.P. had leased part of the building since 1958, for its radio station 4KQ. It was renamed ‘Labor House’ and it was the A.L.P. state headquarters until 1972.
