Information

J.P.C. Building was built in 1916, Chambers & Powell. It was built for Jenyns Patent Corset Co. The firm statrted in 1901 manufacturing cultlery and then branched into surgical instruments. In 1914, it began making corsets. Triump Womenswear bought this company in the 1970s. Jenyns then moved into making surgical products such as matsectomy aids.
