Information

Aboriginal Camp by lagoon. During 1870s, Aboriginal residents from here worked on Edward Kelk’s fishing reseserve for Aborigines, and later his cane fields. This was the only Aboriginal Reserve ever created in the south Brisbane region. Camping continued here into the 1890s.
