Information

This Aboriginal Camp was significant for its involvement in several conflicts with the German Mission, including repeated crop raids and punitive shootings 1840 and 1845. An “Aboriginal witch” (medicine woman?) lived here. Soon after 1846, most of it ceased operating, the major part of it becoming the German Cemetery.
