Information

Built 1931. Beforehand, local pupils went to Beaudesert Rd’s Coopers Plains School (now Acacia Ridge School). Named after its location, this School opened on 21 January 1931. Increasing enrolments saw a classrooms added in November 1931 and in 1933, with shade trees planted in the playground. Most construction and grounds projects were undertaken by the the Great Depression (1929-39) Work Relief Scheme teams It was renamed Coopers Plains State School in 1965, indication of the area’s growth as a defined suburb. ‘A’ block now has those early classrooms.
