Information

Joseph Packer opened a tannery and wool scouring at Downfall Creek around 1898. In 1913 Joseph Packer’s five sons were included in the partnership. The fellmongering plant was closed down in 1967 because it had become uneconomic, but the operation lasted until the 1970s when it was moved to Narangba.
