Small seasonal Camp in pre-contact times (stone tool finds). Later, an area of Aboriginal trade and work, especially 1860s-1910s. Aboriginal men from the Bremer and Nerang manned many of the boats rafting timber to Pettigrew’s Mill one end of the Wharf. Others sold fish, clothes props, ferns and oysters in this area.
