Information

Robert Cribb’s Lang Farm was the first freehold land purchase in 1853 what would become St Lucia, The Fortitude Langite immigrant were managers of the farms rather than farmers living on the land. The farms were experimental, testing out crops of bananas, cotton, etc. The property passed to brother Benjamin on Cribb’s bankruptcy, and subsequently bought by Richard Gailey, as ‘Greater’ Lang Farm.
