Information

The other hotel in Toowong Centre, on the corner of High Street, the Royal Exchange Hotel, was also built following the opening of the railway to Toowong. It received its present name in 1903 when early settlers began bartering goods on the traffic island in front of the hotel. This island is still there, between the blue Toowong Tower and the hotel
