Information

Main Aboriginal Camp of Sandgate, spread out along the foreshores. The ‘flat expanse’ of open water (Warra – the traditional name of Sandgate) was focus of Corroborees along the beach here, as late as the 1880s. The Camp survived at least until 1895.
