Information

Built circa1921. The Sherwood Boys Scout Patrol was founded in 1910, just three years after Lord Baden Powell’s scouting movement was established in Britain. James Knox-Dunn organised this Patrol, with a dozen boys, aged 8-17. In 1921, it became Sherwood Scout troop, under ex-Major Charles Trotter. This maybe when the Hall was built, from volunteer labour. In 1925, the Girl Guides were established in Sherwood.
