Built 1939-40. Before the Church opened, Anglican services were held at the School of Arts. Designed in English perpendicular Gothic style, it was dedicated on 14 May 1940 by the Brisbane Anglican Archbishop Wand. Fundraising was insufficient to cover the £1400 cost. This debt still required further efforts, until September 1943. It was the first church built in the suburb of Chelmer.
