Information

St Martin’s War Memorial Hospital was opened in 1922, Architect: L.L. Powell. It was a war memorial hospital that was built from a massive, public fundraising campaign. It opened on 22 November 1922. It is named after St Martin, whose feast day is 11 November (Armistice/Remembrance Day). The hospital closed in 1971 and it subsequently became ‘St Martin’s House’.
