Information

In 1889, a Reserve of about 7 acres (2.49 hectares), neighbouring the town lots, was gazetted for State School purposes. It was not until 27 January 1959 when the Sunnybank State School opened with 104 boys and 95 girls on roll. During that time of 70 years the Runcorn School operated, about a mile away (straight-line), and was often referred to as the Sunnybank School. We in this site a low demand for primary education in a rural district.
