Information

The Salvation Army reached Brisbane in 1885 and had built its main Temple, in the City, in 1891. It spread to the suburbs, building smaller places of worship, called halls but effectively mini-temples. This was the Stones Corner Temple/hall. During World War II, the Salvation Army provided a home comforts service to military personnel serving in either the front line or in the rear area.
