Information

The Sunnybank Municipal Hall was built, in Lister Street in about 1924. The Sunnybank Progress & Fruit Growers’ Association worked out of this hall between the two world wars where they organised regular dances for two shillings admission. It was also used as a picture theatre as well as for many other community activities over the years. The Brisbane City Council inherited the Hall in 1948 when the Progress Association faced financial problems.
