Impact on Brisbane Society

The Sunnybank School of Arts was opened in 1927. Its purpose was to provide entertainment to the area rather than education, although a library was started. The School provided dances and a local picture theatre. Catholic Church services held there on Sundays until their church was opened on Mains Road in 1938.
