Information

The Taringa State School opened in October 1900 and closed in December 1996. The first headmaster, Joseph Robert Loney remained until 1921. At the time of its opening there were 160 pupils and at the end of the first year there were 380 pupils.In 1918 there were nearly 800 pupils.
