Information

Built 1914. It was built as a row of two, matching shops, with the proprietor’s home at the rear, in an Art Deco style. It was placed on the Mayhew St corner of the main thorougfare along Oxley Rd, in the Sherwood Shops precinct. It was used as Albert Wood’s general store. It became Sherwood Bazaar Antiques in 1980. It is possibly Sherwood’s oldest, extant, timber retail building.
