Information

The Woolloongabba Cricket Grounds had its first cricket match in 1896, a game between Parliament and the Press. First class cricket matches alternated between this site and the Exhibition Grounds until 1931. The first Test Match at the ‘Gabba’ grounds in 1931, between Australia and South Africa.
