Built 1938, Architects: Atkinson and Conrad. A local fire brigade unit was raised in 1921. Three blocks were bought in the major roadway of Mountjoy Tce in 1921. A temporary station with residence was built in 1921. In 1926, when an ambulance station was placed nearby on Tingal Rd, this became an emergency services precinct. As Wynnum grew, a new fire station was required. Premier Ned Hanlon opened this Station on 25 May 1938. The building had a second-floor residence. A shed was added circa1943. The Station closed in 2004 to become a private home.
