Information

Built 1920. Freemasonry spread to Wynnum-Manly by the 1890s, with 24 Masons forming the first (Wynnum) Lodge in 1894. Lodges recruited widely after WWI so that by 1920 the Wynnum Masons had raised enough funds (£4000) to build a two-storey, masonary Masonic Temple in Tingal Road. This Regency-style, standard Masonic Hall was fronted by a masonary, pillared fence. Postwar, a modern meeting room extension was added to the side of the Temple.
