The location had been St. Jude’s Seminary, where the Mission of the Most Holy Eucharist was established in 1929-1930. The land had been the 16-hectare (40-acre) estate of the late Dr. Taylor, next to his ‘Glenlyon’. The College was founded in 1940 as a Catholic day and boarding primary and secondary school for boys.
