A former Aboriginal Bora ( Ceremonial Ground of earth circles), probably important for what is now the north-west suburbs of Brisbane. Keperra Bora was considered one of the best and most scenic examples in the Brisbane region. It was slated for permanent preservation but was destroyed following the 1931 development of a housing estate and golf course in this area. It seems to have been associated with initiations pertaining to the surrounding area, Mt Keperra and tomahawks (stone axes). It probably ceased being used in the 1870s or 1880s but remained popular with white tourists.
