Inglis Tea Merchants Building . was built in 1920, Architects: Powell & Chambers. It was constructed as warehouse and offices for Inglis Ltd, an Australian tea company established in 1877. It made the famous ‘Billy Tea’ brand. This site was chosen due to its proximity to that section of the City wharves complex known as the Howard Smith Wharves.
